A Soiree of Ethnic Ensembles that Narrate Tales of Minimalism

‘Khoya Khoya Chaand’Naina Jain’s new ethnic line of ensembles reimagines the art of Bandhani. The collection is more than just an assembly- each piece narrates a story of traditional Bandhani work right from the rural artisans of India, melted with the urban styles and unique colour palettes.

 Highlights

A celebration of minimalistic textures, bold colours and delicate embroidery, Naina Jain’s new ethnic collection is an assemblage of Saris, Suits and Lehengas in Chiffons, Organzas, Silks and Chanderis. The array brings a whiff of fresh air to Bandhani, as the spotlight this time is on illumination of a different kind—mirror work spangles splashed across clothes bedecked with intricate embroidery.

From Saris, with a play of Tie & Dye, Skirts with Flared Shirts to Kurtas and Kaftans- the collection has something in store for everyone. With the use of tie & dye in a different technique on flowy and dreamy fabrics like Organza, Silk, Chanderi and Chiffon, the pieces are light weight and toned down- making it an impeccable choice for those who like to invest in ethnic ensembles that can be worn at multiple occasions. The amalgamation features garments which have not only combined bandhani with exquisite embellishments, but also married it with craft techniques giving bandhani a never-seen-before update.

Shade Card

Reds, Yellows and Purples making the entire attire a classic hit. The introduction of unique and interesting silhouettes with alluring necklines and loose fit blouses – is truly crafted to make you look like a star.

Designer’s quote

According to the designer, “My fascination with the style of embellishment stems from its never-ending potential—the luminosity of mirror, its ability to reflect, and refract. Its universality and sheer style across silhouettes….” Through her use of fine Indian fabrics and the country’s most talented craftspeople, Naina Jain has sought to redefine age-old Indian ethnic traditions in the contemporary era, creating a style that is both rich in Indian aesthetics and modern sophistication.
