The FDCI’s Inclusive #GetNoticed selects four new faces for the upcoming India Fashion Week
The Fashion Design Council of India, in keeping with the need to scout for diverse looks. Likewise, initiated an inclusive #GetNoticed Model Hunt, in association with Wilderbee Talent Camp, by Lakshmi Rana. Four girls were chose out of the 1,500 applications. Also which were open online for 10 days, for the upcoming India Fashion Week runway in March.
As well as after the judicious screening, 15 girls in shortlisting and invited to the FDCI office. Model from February 4-7, 2021, for an intense round of training by Lakshmi Rana. And the four-day module covered myriad topics that would help newbies find feet in the competitive industry. These included —- the business of modelling, ramp walk training and talks. The subtle art of posing too, personal branding and effective communication.
The more into the process
Meanwhile, the selection displays various shades of diversity and was inclusive. Further, these 15 girls model represented various regions ranging from the Capital to Mumbai, Bhopal, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Lastly, the esteemed jury which made the final cut. Had stylist Edward Lalrempuia and designers Namrata Joshipura, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Rahul Khanna and Suneet Varma.
“We have been championing the need for inclusion of talent, and as a leading fashion body, the FDCI mirrors the distinctive times we live in. We were overwhelmed by the torrential pouring of applications from all over the country which shows a keen interest in being part of the style sphere. Supermodel Lakshmi Rana brought with her years of expertise and a keen eye that chiselled these girls and made them ready for the spotlight. The four greenhorns are an epitome of confidence and perseverance, ideal for the runway making way for an appealing narrative,” said FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi.
