Aakriti Art Gallery presents a historical exhibition at Bikaner House, New Delhi, showcasing the Great Masters of Bengal from the past to the present. Divided into Bikaner House’s galleries, it highlights diverse mediums and captures the essence of Bengali heritage.
Under the guidance of Director Vikram Bachhawat, Aakriti Art Gallery will present a comprehensive overview of the Bengal School of art, showcasing early oil paintings, works by masters, and contemporary artists. The exhibition aims to engage the audience and offer insights into the social and cultural future through these artworks. It will bring together established artists, masters, and emerging talents.
The exhibition will display a variety of mediums and artistic forms, providing diverse perspectives and narrative styles. Aakriti’s past experiences with Indian masters ensure a strong representation of contemporary developments. The exhibition will explore the present while seeking signs of future artistic trends. Notable artists featured in the exhibition include Hemendranath Mazumdar, Jamini Roy, Rabindranath Tagore, Abanindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, and many others.
The exhibition will take place at Bikaner House in New Delhi from July 7th to July 16th, 2023.
