Kaveri Unveiled Great Fashion Story
“Festive Dreams” by ‘Kaveri’
For an innovative start, the designer herself recited a poem on what women want with the underlying mantra of being beautiful in your own skin.
With a tag line “Everyday Beautiful” the brand presented 8 exquisite looks, each telling a great fashion story. “Festive Dreams” by ‘Kaveri’ was in linen, ( the brand gets specially woven), there was just a minute hint of Chantilly lace, organza and linen knits.
Dandelion Dreams had a burst of floral embroidery with pearls on pretty, exquisite Chantilly lace in shades of white, blue and grey at times with gold prints.
The Vintage Garden offered laser cut leaves that added textures to the garments with classic sleeves, smocking and lace detailing in dusty rose, sky, ecru and off-white.
A Million Stitches – A Galaxy of Stars revealed a sprinkling of roses on perky peasant styles in shades of mulberry, wine and rose.
The Victoria line featured tiny buttons, high collars and feminine petticoats with oyster and light Chateau rose tones.
A Hint. A Shade. A Tone. A Tint had flirty organza and sheer linen as the base for the tonal 3D floral appliqués on jackets, layered dresses and even saris.
The Golden Dot was all about capes, drapes, kaftans, tunics, and dresses accessorised with scarves that were ombré dyed perfectly in burgundy, iron and steel with hints of gold for the festive look.
Kintsukuroi inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken patterns, had kimono like creations with large gold splashes, hand dip dyed in earthen shades.
One By One featured screen-printed linen on hand constructed knit garments. The rough and the smooth of the layered creations had a gentle golden sheen.
