Mineral springs and wellness centres welcome guests to a relaxing and a memorable experience.

The Frankfurt Rhine-Main Region has a long tradition of promoting health and wellbeing. Kings and emperors of old once travelled to the Rhine-Main region to improve their health. Frankfurt features a qualitative array of mineral springs, bathhouses and spa facilities. Here, essential oils and a masseur’s expert make sure you have a relaxing holiday.

A 30 minute drive away from the Main Metropolis of Frankfurt are the famous spa towns of Wiesbaden and Bad Homburg!

Wiesbaden, the Hessian state capital is a historic spa city famous for health and wellness treatments. With 15 thermal springs, it is one of the oldest mineral spa resorts in Europe.

Guests can experience the highest level of luxury at the historical Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme, the region’s most elegant spa facility. In honour of the traditional Roman baths, on whose foundations it is built, the spa is decorated in the style of a classical thermal bath, complete with pillared spaces and intricate, sophisticated ornamentation.

Bad Homburg is a time-honoured spa town featuring modern health-spa facilities. Its spa traditions are linked to the many mineral sources found here. The luxurious Kur Royal Day Spa at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Bad and the Taunus Therme thermal baths invite guests to experience the health benefits of the mineral spa. Alternatively, those interested in aquatic entertainment have the “Seedammbad”, an indoor-outdoor water park that is the perfect place to rest and to play.

Bad Soden am Tanus, located to the north of Frankfurt is a picturesque spa town with bountiful natural springs, which contain carbonic acid gas and various iron oxides which have great health benefits.

The international finance centre of Frankfurt is also home to wellness temples that help rejuvenate mind, body and soul. The luxurious Talise Spa at the Jumeirah Hotel is the most exclusive of these. The range of offers available here includes traditional massages and cosmetic treatments, Thai massages, men and women saunas along with individual rest areas. Despite their exclusivity, the spa facilities are available to the non-hotel guests as well. The Sokai spa lounge at the grandhotel-hessischerhof also welcomes guests to indulge in soothing massages or get an extra glow with a luxurious facial. Guests can experience a different. Whether it’s a session of the traditional Turkish bath (Hamam), a dry sauna, a cleansing bath or just a revitalising rain shower, the benefits for the body and mind are truly diverse.

So ,whether it’s Frankfurt with its qualitative cultural programme and cosy apple wine pubs, Bad Homburg with its scenic spa park and the landgrave’s castle, or Wiesbaden with its picturesque plazas and idyllic old town – Frankfurt is the perfect place for combining a few relaxing days of wellness with a memorable city trip.
