A Chance Encounter Leads to Stardom
The beginning of Lilly’s modeling journey traces back to a serendipitous meeting at the Monte Carlo Grand Prix Formula 1 race in Monaco. Her father, Marco Ulrich, found himself in an elevator with fashion designer Andres Aquino and high fashion model Kelsie McKenna. During their conversation, Marco shared photos of Lilly, who, despite being just 9 years old, was already 5’4″ (163 cm) tall and harbored a dream of becoming a model. Though she faced bullying due to her height, Lilly’s passion for modeling was undeniable.
A few days later, Lilly received an unexpected invitation from Andres Aquino to model at Couture Fashion Week in New York. The designer crafted a special dress for her, and Lilly had the honor of opening his show, making her dream a reality. Since then, she has walked in several more fashion shows for Aquino, including the prestigious Global Short Film Awards Gala in Cannes. This black-tie event, held annually during the Cannes Film Festival, is known for recognizing excellence in short filmmaking and is attended by industry leaders, VIPs, celebrities, and international media.
