Rus Education organized Sobraniye 2024: The Pre-Departure Ceremony for Indian Students
Rus Education recently hosted the grand pre-departure ceremony, Sobraniye 2024, marking a pivotal moment for Indian students beginning their MBBS journey in Russia. Held at Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi, the event was a celebration of students’ hard work and a heartfelt farewell as they embark on a new academic chapter.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed delegates, including Dr. Mironchev Anton, Dean of Orenburg State Medical University, Ms. Olga Kroshkina from the Russian House in New Delhi, Ms. Elena Barman, Head of Education at the Russian House, and Shri Nirmal Kumar Bhagat, Director at NITI Aayog. Several prominent figures from the medical community also graced the occasion, such as Lt. Gen. Bipin Puri (Retd.) from Apollo Group of Hospitals, and Lt. Gen. (Dr.) A K Das (Retd.) of Marengo Asia Hospitals.
The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by an inspiring welcome speech from Dr. Abhijeet Sheth of Apollo Group of Hospitals. In his address, Dr. Sheth congratulated the students on their new journey, offering them words of wisdom and encouragement as they head to Russia. He emphasized the importance of passion and resilience in the medical field, reminding the students of the challenges and rewards that lie ahead.
Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Technical Advisor at Rus Education, provided insights into the opportunities students will encounter during their studies in Russia, while Lt. Gen. Bipin Puri (Retd.) stressed the importance of ethical practice, empathy, and communication in medicine.
The ceremony also highlighted the academic achievements of meritorious students, with scholarships awarded in honor of notable figures such as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These scholarships, including the BADHTE KADAM and AYUSHMAN BHARAT awards, provide essential financial support to encourage the students to excel.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and pride, as parents expressed their gratitude to Rus Education for guiding their children towards prestigious Russian universities. The event provided a platform for both students and parents to reflect on the exciting road ahead.
In the coming days, 300 students will begin their academic careers at esteemed Russian institutions like Perm State Medical University and Orenburg State Medical University. The Sobraniye 2024 ceremony left a lasting impact, celebrating the students’ accomplishments while offering them invaluable guidance as they prepare for their future in medicine.
