Diwali is a symbol of hope and it gets joy home. But this Diwali didn’t seem as happy as before the pandemic. Something was missing, so many people are missing. Everyone has lost someone. So to make it more special and joyful Dr. Gunita Singh, BDS MD Dental Lasers, Director Dentem & Associate Consultant Sir Ganga Ram Hospital planned a series of gratitude this Diwali by doing different activities with kids of coolie camp Next to Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.
By following the motto “Khushi baatne se Khushi badhti hai” Dr. Gunita Singh along with her team and friends started this series for 7 days, before Diwali. Starting from Friday, the first activity was a drawing competition for the kids, and then prize distribution happened today. So the starting 2-day event also included refreshments along with participation certificates and Diwali gifts for all kids present at the camp.
Also, there will be special gifts for 9 winners. Talking about the series, Dr. Gunita stated, “I just wanted to spread joy and spread happiness to everyone around who are less fortunate but didn’t know how to do so my friend Priyanka Singh also from Vasant Vihar who works closely with underprivileged showed me the way. This Diwali, together we could actually spread smiles and give happiness to man. Today on 30th October we distributed certificates and prizes to the winners. The smile on every child’s face made my day. I feel contended satisfied and happy and so worthwhile. Nothing can give you more happiness than sharing.”
