Fashion Designer and Social Activist Dr. Sanjana Jon in association with CISSA (Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action) organized Red Carpet special Preview Ethical cultural Creative couture weaves to Dreams beyond the seams on recently at Audi Showroom, Mathura Road Industrial Area, South Delhi. The evening saw the stars on the red carpet and the superstars, of Philanthropy shine even brighter as Ambassadors of Humanity at an intriguing intimate event.
The Event was graced with the presence of former Cricketer Atul Wasan, H. E Raul Duarte Ramos Ambassador Paraguay, H E K L Ganju Hon Consul Comoros, H.E Vijay Mehta Hon Consul General Romania, H.E Janice Darbari Montenegro Coulibaly d Herve Burkina Fasi, Qadir Khan Afghanistan, Alok Kumar special Commissioner, Delhi Police , Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala Wockhart Group, Dr Ashwani Mehta Gangaram Hospital Director, Dr Rashmi Saluja Religare, Dr Upasana Arora Yadodha Hospitals, Ravi Nandan Sinha MSME Director were some of the many who graced the occasion on March 1st making it a special day to highlight Humanity Globally.
The Collection Preview by Dr Sanjana Jon in hues of glam gold and regal red created the perfect vision of red carpet royalty. Sanjana extends her design skills to hand-loom weavers through the Center for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA). The ace designer is looking at styling the celebrities in the forthcoming Oscars, which will be a golden opportunity to pitch for Balaramapuram hand-looms and weaves of India. Having already worked with weaves of Benares and Kutch she feels working with environmentally sustainable organic totally skin friendly hand-loom is the way to ethical fashion and business. The preview also saw award function honoring business icons, fashion icons and Ambassadors of Humanity.

Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee propagated handloom and weaves of India and supported the endeavor by Dr Sanjana Jon with her esteemed presence. Special Star Awardee Madhur Bhandarkar joined with his message of gratitude from his sets in Chandigarh. Actor producer Zayed Khan ( of ‘Main Hoon Na’ fame) stole the show with his singing.
Dr Sanjana Jon said Handcrafted Balaramapuram sarees and other fabric materials needed a radiant makeover that will grab the attention of the international fashion world. ‘To achieve this, we have created this collection to promote the famous traditional weavers of Kerala. We are promoting ‘Local to Global’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ the great vision of our Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi through this collection and we plan to promote handloom weavers of India globally thereby highlighting the artisans, their exquisite hand work and uniqueness is the main mission of our endeavor’.
