On the occasion Tarun Khanna, Founder 108 Projects said we conceived this entire show in a very short period of time and were very glad that it came out well. We also wanted to bring focus to the beauty of an extremely important art form of Printmaking with Etching, Lithography and woodcuts which various master artists like Somnath Hore, Haren Das, sanat kar and others have perfected over their years of practice. Indian collectors are mostly skewed towards canvas as a medium but these are also an important and much more laborious works of art with great depth and presence. Only recently the Indian art world has realised the importance of printmaking with the rise in global demand for works of Zarina Hashmi.
