Please give me a remedy for a dark upper lip.

The skin of the lips is very thin and delicate. However, after washing the face, when the lips are wet, you can rub the upper lip gently with a soft towel. This helps to remove dead skin. Then apply cream of milk on it and leave it on for an hour. Add a few drops of lemon juice to the cream of milk before application. Apply pure almond oil daily on the upper lip at night and leave on overnight. You can also look for a lip balm with sunscreen.

I am fair and my skin is dry. Sun-exposure makes it drier, dull and tanned. Please suggest a remedy.

Your skin is obviously very sensitive to the sun. You should apply a sunscreen with high SPF before setting out in the sun and re-apply if you are out for long durations. Avoid soap and cleanse with a cleansing cream or gel. Once daily, mix together curd and honey. Add a pinch of turmeric and apply on the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes. Keep your skin well moisturized. At night, after cleansing, apply nourishing cream or pure almond oil and massage it on the face. Wipe off with moist cotton wool before bedtime.

Please suggest home remedies to remove hair above the upper lip and permanent removal of body hair.

Home remedies do not remove facial hair. They may lessen facial hair growth if used regularly over a period of time. Make a thick paste of sugar, lemon juice and water and apply it in the direction of hair growth. Wash off when it dries. Apply it once or twice a week. Apply a paste of turmeric powder and milk and rub this on the skin with a circular motion. It is said to discourage facial hair, but it may leave a slight yellowish colour on the skin. For body hair removal, waxing is the best option. It is not a permanent hair removal method, but it is said to gradually lessen hair growth. For arms and legs, an epilator may be used. It is a small gadget for hair removal. Laser is said to be a permanent method, but re-growth has been known to occur. You will need to find a good laser clinic. Also, many sessions will be needed if the area is large. It is an expensive procedure.
