Suneet Varma’s second jewelry line for Aulerth – the ‘Pakeezah’ collection – was launched yesterday at the FDCI Indian Couture Week 2022 at Suneet Varma’s show in Taj Palace, New Delhi.
The ‘Pakeezah’ collection captures finer nuances of Mughal art forms and architecture. Each jewel immortalizes royalty, celebrating an outburst of rich jewel-toned stonework intricately put together with traditional meenakari work.
One of Aulerth’s first design partners, Suneet Varma’s fashion sensibilities revolve around memorializing glamour and timeless style. And this discernment has beautifully surfaced in his latest jewelry line for Aulerth – the ‘Pakeezah’ collection. In this collection, you will witness a royal interplay of rich-colored stones juxtaposed with immaculate meenakari work.
Suneet Varma is an ardent admirer of the Mughal era’s karigari, architecture, inlay work, engraving, geometric patterns, and unique ways of using colors and stones. And he transmutes his fondness into eternal pieces of jewelry.
Talking about the ‘Pakeezah’ collection, Mr. Suneet Varma said, “The ‘Pakeezah’ collection captures finer nuances of Mughal art forms and architecture. The collection draws inspiration from the design language of the Mughal architecture and the Mughal empire. The meticulous detailing, motifs, jewel-toned stonework, and the overall design essence of the collection will spark joy in the hearts of every wearer.“
“We are very excited to launch a new collection with Suneet Varma, for Aulerth. The aesthetic inspiration is the Mughal legacy. This collection is special as it is a fusion of rich Indian traditional techniques laden with an abundance of meticulous craftsmanship, in the Aulerth conscious and mindful ideology. There is a discernible layer of sensuality with the vivid colors reminiscent of a peacock’s dance early morning to woo its partner during the monsoon season.” said Mr. Vivek Ramabhadran, Founder & CEO, Aulerth.
About Aulerth
Aulerth is India’s first design house for jewelry that’s couture-inspired and consciously made. It is an inspired way of thinking and living that’s high on design, craftsmanship, and intelligently mindful of minimizing its environmental footprint. Our goal is to significantly reduce the destructive carbon footprint behind the jewelry industry – which we believe can happen in the following ways:
- Using materials in the product creation that doesn’t leave a jewelry mining footprint
- Ensure the product lives for the longest possible duration, and ensure maximum usage during its lifetime – even if it changes many hands
- Replacing a large portion of the jewelry worn where gold jewelry is worn the most – on special occasions
Founded in 2021, and based in India, Aulerth partners with leading Indian designers and builds high-fashion designer jewelry with a lifetime service proposition, meticulously designed and crafted, that is an environmentally responsible alternative to jewelry made with gold, diamonds, and other mined stones.
