The resort teams are following the guidelines issued by the WHO and local authorities, with measures in place across all resorts such as the enhanced disinfection of all hand touchpoints and extensive use of hand sanitizers. Deep cleaning of all rooms and public spaces is done on a frequent basis and all housekeeping teams are trained and updated on the latest guidelines.
The resorts have been using this time to increase their focus on sustainability. Resplendent Ceylon’s resorts help to protect the Earth every day of the year by active sustainable initiatives.
At Wild Coast Tented Lodge, there’s a desalination plant, all water used in the resort is recycled, food waste is transformed into cooking gas and organic manure in the gardens, hot water is driven by the exhaust in air conditioners, and 50 per cent of energy is driven from a solar plant. Please also see how the resort has curated a series called – Jungle Chronicles which is a series of short IGTV videos put together by the rangers at Wild Coast Lodge to bring the wildness to you.
They will be unveiling a blueprint for the future of the hospitality industry in Sri Lanka soon.
