“FASHION FOR CHANGE” along with Delhi Fashion Club Launched in Mumbai in association with Lakme Academy
After making waves across the nation in Delhi, Chandigarh & Goa Fashion industry, Delhi Fashion Club i.e. DFC Finally Launched in Mumbai on 29 Jan, 2020 at Lakme academy, Saki naka , Mumbai with an initiative “Fashion for Change” which promotes Sustainable Fashion, khadi & women empowerment, this initiative is being supported by Lakme academy. Where first activity of DFC Mumbai started with a Calender shoot to promote khadi textiles , handlooms & women empowerment.This day also mark official association of Lakme Academy, saki naka , Mumbai with Delhi Fashion Club.
Previously, DFC has worked with various International Fashion Weeks across nation as Fashion Partner, Consultant and done show direction & designers management. They have also promoted many models & designers with a theme “Local to global Khadi” and sustainable fashion. Now it’s a new diversification in the same initiative in form of a calendar shoot.
Calendar shoot titled as “Fashion for change” aims to promote Khadi, Handlooms, Sustainable Fashion & Women empowerment. First segment of the shoot was done in Mumbai with 2 celebrity designers Ashfaque ahmed – Delhi and Arjun Kumar Label– Mumbai, gen-next designers include Omendra Gautam from New delhi. Styling was done by Celebrity Fashion Director Harshit Dhingaun who is also the chairman of Delhi Fashion Club. Photography was done by Tezas Mahadik and Models were Reshma Kaurase and Namrata Sharma who shot in Khadi and Sustainable Fashion gowns. Model Wijaidin pamai from Nagaland shot in sustainable design at Marine drive beach by team DFC. Makeup was sponsored by Lakme academy, saki naka , Mumbai
