The star cast of film “JugJugg Jeeyo”, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor,Anil Kapoor,Maniesh Paul and the Director Raj Mehta held a press conference in the National Capital recently. The star cast is very excited to be the part of this multi- starrer film.
‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, director Raj Mehta shared that the movie revolves around the issue of unresolved yearning and unexpected reconciliations in a family. The movie also puts forward the issue of early divorces in marriages these days. The film marks Varun Dhawan’s return to family dramas three years after ‘Sui Dhaaga’ and four years after ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. Neetu Kapoor made a comeback after many years and was all praise for her co actor Anil Kapoor, “This is my film after so many years, he is such a good co star, he is very jovial. It was a great experience of working with everyone.The dialogues, the story everything is so beautiful.” She added.
On being asked about the idea of getting married, Kiara replied, “karni chaiye sabko karni chahiye.”
“The movie is about relationships and I think everyone over here endorses that it (marriage) is the most beautiful institution. As the one who’s not married, I’m so lucky to be seeing such beautiful marriages in the team, especially Varun who recently got married.” She further added that Varun did not believe that he would get married, even though everyone around him did. She said, “I feel marriage is a wonderful institution. And, shaadi bhi karni chahiye, kaam bhi karna chahiye.”Neetu Kapoor looked very elegant in a breezy colorful kurta and dhoti salwaar added that marriage is beautiful if you are married to the right and compatible person.
Both Varun and Maniesh were super excited to share the screen with Anil Kappor and Neetu Kapoor .Maniesh got emotional and nostalgic while talking about the times when he used to host shows in Delhi.He had once hosted a show for Anil Kapoor’s Nayak and now he is sharing the space with Anil Kapoor on the silver screen.
While addressing the common debate of OTT versus Box Office Anil Kapoor said,”It’s always about the change.” During the COVID- 19 lock down for two years, a large population shifted to OTT platforms for entertainment actor denies any threat to the conventional media posed by the OTT platforms. The popularity of OTT platforms has rapidly grown amid lock down and the viewers in large populations have inclined towards it. The actor said, “Both cinema and OTT are equally important.” He added that the OTT sites are also a platform for entertainment and no comparisons should be drawn between theaters and OTT screens. Anil Kapoor further talked about the possibility of the peaceful co-existence of cinema and OTT. “Both the media serve their audience through the mode of entertainment and need not be compared.” He further added.
Neetu Kapoor was asked if her daughter in law Alia took her opinion before doing a Hollywood film. Neetu Kapoor replied, “Aaj kal ke bachhe kisise puchte nahi; vo bhi nayi bahu hai” ! (‘Nowadays children do not ask anyone and she is also a new daughter-in-law). Also this is her life. Neetu Kapoor further said that Alia and Ranbir Kapoor are made for each other and they are very happy.
The makers of the film conducted a fan-screening as well. The film received unanimous applaud and approval from the fans and the whole cast was overwhelmed by the love that came their way and acknowledged their admirers with photos with them.
