Movie buffs have all the reasons to rejoice with back-to-back movies releasing in cinemas. After many successful releases, the audience is awaiting the release of Sarika Sanjot’s directorial debut ‘Kahani RubberBand Ki’. The trailer has got an extremely positive response from viewers and critics. Clocking more than 20 million views on the internet, makers are excited about the movie’s release.
‘Kahani RubberBand Ki’ stars ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ fame Manish Raisinghan, ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress Avika Gor, Pratik Gandhi, Gaurav Gera, Aruna Irani and Kanwar Paintal in prominent roles. As the movie’s trailer garnered an overwhelming response on the web, the cast and crew celebrated the success by having a cake-cutting ceremony in Mumbai’s Raheja Classic Club.
The celebration was attended by Manish Raisinghan, Sarika Sanjot, music composer Manmeet Singh of Meet Brothers, Gaurav Gera, singer Altamash Faridi, Shyam Lal, Meenakshi Sethi, Rajesh Jais, Romil Chaudhary, Dr. Yogesh Lakhani of Bright Outdoor Media Pvt Ltd and Hargun Kaur among other names associated with the film. Debutante writer-director Sarika Sanjot is extremely happy as her maiden film is receiving a terrific response before its release.
The film is a comedy entertainer that raises awareness about sex education and conveys a message about condom use in a light-hearted way. At the event, Manmeet Singh could not stop gushing about the director. He said, “Sarika has written the movie’s plot keeping in mind endless entertainment. It takes a lot of creativity to bring a story about condom use as many consider it a taboo in India.”

Along with the storyline, the film has some good musicals sung by Kunal Ganjawala, Hargun Kaur and Altamash Faridi. The main protagonist, Manish Raisinghan at the event said, “I have drawn inspiration from Ayushmann Khurrana before doing this film. The kind of films he does throw light on societal issues. I hope that viewers will like my attempt in the film.” Shot extensively in Varanasi, Raisinghan is hopeful that people’s perception of condoms will change after watching the film.
Produced under Sarika’s banner Moon House Productions, ‘Kahani RubberBand Ki’ is scheduled for its theatrical release on October 14, 2022.
