I was very excited to see how well the natural diamond jewellery designers have married contemporary designs with billion-year-old natural diamonds, and their jewellery will definitely enhance the pret wear collections on the Real Cut runway. Natural diamonds have the unique ability to transcend generations and still remain relevant, making them the perfect epitome of slow fashion.”
A one of a kind initiative, ‘The Real Cut’, was first launched in Summer/Resort 2019, providing a platform to young and emerging natural diamond jewellery designers from across the country associated with leading jewellery retailers, practicing their craft for the past three to eight years to reach the fashion industry globally.
Jaspreet Chandok, Head of Lifestyle business, IMG Reliance, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be back with yet another season of ‘The Real Cut’. The collaboration is a celebration of the best talent in fashion and jewellery design. In its 20th year, Lakmé Fashion Week’s endeavor to support and nurture talent continues to grow, and we are glad to have partners like Diamond Producers Association with us.”
