Lakmé Fashion Week in Partnership with Fashion Design Council of India Unveils Schedule for the Delhi Edition

Lakmé Fashion Week, in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is set to return to Delhi with a spectacular edition from 9th to 13th October at The Grand Hotel. This much-anticipated event, presented by Lakmé, FDCI, and Reliance Brands (RBL), promises an exciting five days of cutting-edge fashion, beauty innovations, and forward-thinking collaborations that are set to shape the future of the industry.
With a legacy dating back to 1952, the House of Lakmé has consistently redefined India’s beauty landscape. This season will culminate with the iconic Lakmé Grand Finale, featuring the legendary designer Rohit Bal, whose latest collection promises to merge contemporary Indian fashion with its deep-rooted traditions.
The opening day will set the stage for a creative collision between traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics, featuring péro by Aneeth Arora, celebrating its 15th anniversary. The collection promises to blend whimsical Indian artistry with contemporary flair.
The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) continues to elevate India’s fashion scene with over 400 members dedicated to promoting homegrown talent and indigenous crafts. Initiatives such as the FDCI Stockroom will provide attendees with direct access to runway collections, bridging the gap between designers and fashion enthusiasts. A highlight this season will be the Denim Edit, featuring the likes of 11.11 / ELEVEN ELEVEN, Ashish N Soni, and Dhruv Kapoor, among others, in a showcase that promises to redefine denim.
Sustainability takes center stage once again with the R|Elan™ Circular Design Challenge, an initiative in collaboration with the United Nations in India. The challenge continues to grow in global prominence, spotlighting eco-conscious innovation. Additionally, the collaboration between R|Elan™ and Huemn is expected to deliver a thought-provoking blend of sustainable fabrics and bold fashion statements.
The season will also see exciting showcases from renowned designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Samant Chauhan, and Kalki, along with new partnerships such as Marks & Spencer presenting “Big Autumn Energy”. On Sustainable Fashion Day, a range of designers, including Abraham & Thakore, will present collections that champion eco-friendly fashion.
