Manthan celebrated its silver jubilee at OP Jindal Auditorium. Sulochana Mansi, the chairperson and Manthan’s presidents lit a torch and conducted a parade. There was the screening of Atul Satya Koushik’s play, ‘Ballygunge 1990’ . Manthan Media Research Wing for Blind Students at NAB is an initiative that focuses on contributing support for their career building. We support social causes which serve breast cancer patients for their diagnosis and therapy. Almost 195 events during our journey to Manthan have been organised and now we are celebrating a Grand Gala Night to showcase our 25 years of Journey.We would be having an official Manthan Night followed by a Play “Ballygunge” – a Love is an endless mystery which would be happening this weekend,Therefore, our club would be grateful if you could spare some of your valuable time and grace your presence at the Grand Night.”
ABOUT MANTHAN KALA CENTRE
For the last Twenty Five years, MANTHAN is operating to elevate and promote art & culture in the society. Every year, Manthan organises one international and one domestic tour for its members. The organisation works for the education of underprivileged blind girls. It has built Media Research Centre in Delhi to impart vocational training to blind students, an auditorium at Siliguri, West Bengal for the blind students to conduct cultural programmes and performances. NAB Manthan Research Centre, Delhi completed nine months program- Discovering Hands where blind women were tutored to detect breast cancer. Many cultural activities and festivals are celebrated that showcase the talent of members at Manthan.Since its inception, Manthan has crossed several milestones in its journey and has conducted an array of programmes including performances by senior artistes for the cause.Some prominent personalities who have been associated with Manthan include Sh. Javed Akhtar, Sh. Amjad Ali Khan, Smt. Hema Malini, Pandit Jasraj, Sh. Ghulam Ali, Smt. Vijayantimala Bali, Sh. Sonu Nigam, Sh. Abhijit, Sh. Udit Narayan, Smt. Phalguni Pathak, Sh. Lucky Ali, Smt.
