Marks & Spencer, the iconic British retailer, lit up the runway at Lakmé Fashion Week with its vibrant Autumn Winter ‘24 collection, bringing the theme ‘Big Autumn Energy’ to life. The collection seamlessly combined contemporary trends with timeless elegance, promising to elevate wardrobes for the new season.

Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker, fresh from her victory, graced the runway for the brand. Her dynamic presence infused the runway with an electrifying energy, perfectly mirroring the essence of the collection. Manu wowed in a monochrome faux leather ensemble that captured the season’s spirit. She wore a high-waisted A-line leather-look midi skirt, paired with a matching sleeveless faux leather top, featuring a clean neckline and button fastening at the back. Her look in earthy umber tones radiated sophistication, embodying the confident energy of autumn.

“Big Autumn Energy” by M&S

Anna Braithwaite, M&S Clothing & Home Marketing Director, commented on the brand’s autumn approach: “As we transition into autumn, the high energy of summer may begin to fade, but not at M&S! Our campaign embraces ‘Big Autumn Energy,’ encouraging everyone to face the new season with confidence and style.”

She added, “We want to be the go-to brand for all your wardrobe needs. From key essentials like denim and knitwear to standout pieces like the blue velvet suit, this collection delivers everything you need to elevate your autumn style.”

With the autumn collection set to the bold track ‘Turn Down for What,’ and featuring the stunning Lineisy Montero, M&S transformed the season into something bold and playful, inviting customers to embrace the ‘main character energy’ as they go about their daily lives.

The Autumn Winter Collection

The women’s collection featured a well-curated mix of easy-to-wear, versatile pieces, with vibrant colours and playful textures. Key items included elevated jersey tops, cropped jackets, tailored maxi skirts, and spring macs. The new fabrics offered a glossy twist on daywear, enhancing classic tailoring with clever knitwear as temperatures dropped.

For casual wear, the lineup introduced modern styles designed to be both versatile and stylish. Accessories included cape scarves, beanie hats, and statement bags with metallic accents.

The menswear collection highlighted comfort, quality, and effortless style, with key colours like grey, midnight blue, and pine green, complemented by neutral hues like soft nude and dark brown. Highlights included Smart Edit pieces like grindle fabric designs, 3D textured knitwear, comfort stretch fabrics, and double-breasted blazers crafted from Donegal wool.
