Somya Khurana showcased the Couture collection of renowned Designer Monisha Jaising at ITSOMBYSOMYA, Ambawatta One, Mehrauli.This collection “Rajputana” is a modernized version of that cross cultural era. It consists of Voluminous and Column shaped evening gowns adorned with embellishments and patterns borrowed from medieval India in zardozi and aari hand embroidery techniques. Even though the shape is European the fabrics and embellishments are Indian. It also has Rajputana block printed ‘lenghas’ teamed with crop 3/4th sleeves décolletage blouses and tulle dupattas with embellished “bling bootis” in crystal pearls and bugle beads.
